This is a good quality tremolo harmonica tuned in `C`.
The 28 holes (56 if you count them in pairs) give this instrument a range of 4 octaves starting with E and ending with E 4 octaves higher.
So the note E appears 5 times in the range being the lowest and highest note.
You can play 3 complete scales of C with a few extra notes at either end.
This is a nice instrument, the reeds section is brass with plastic central section forming the holes (plastic is far more durable than wood in this situation).
The top and bottom sections are chrome plated and can be unscrewed for maintenance and cleaning.
The harmonica comes in a very nice solid plastic presentation case which is red lined making it ideal as a present.
I had an instrument similar to this as a child, and it still works well after many years.
