This is a good quality tremolo harmonica tuned in `C`.
The 24 holes (48 if you count them in pairs) give this instrument a range of just
over 3 octaves. The tremolo effect is achieved by having two reeds for each note,
These will be slighlty different tuning and the beating between the reeds causes
the tremolo effect.
You can play 3 complete scales of C with this harmonica.
This is a nice instrument, the reeds section is brass with plastic central section
forming the holes (plastic is far more durable than wood in this situation).
The top and bottom sections are chrome plated and can be unscrewed for maintenance
and cleaning. The reed section is brass.

I had an instrument similar to this as a child, and it still works well after many years.
